Kate is head of our Private Client Department and specialises in all areas of Trust, Wills, Probate and Elderly/Incapable work. Born and raised in Crystal Palace, South London, Kate studied Geography at the University of Swansea where she gained honours. After spending five years with Thames Valley Police, Kate decided to practice the art of law rather than enforcing it and qualified in 2002, practicing initially in Reading.
Kate is a member of the Law Society Probate Section and a student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Kate says "I enjoy the diversity of Private Client work, from helping and supporting people when they are dealing with a deceased's estate, which can be a very stressful period of their life, to ensuring that somebody's affairs are all in order and tax efficient. I especially enjoy the challenges of taxation and get a great deal of satisfaction in reducing people's inheritance tax liability."
